TonyS1984 new menber
I just purchased a1984 Monte Carlo SS. Love the car the look the feel. Would like to know from one of you if possible when I start her up white smoke comes out of the pipes once she is warm all good when driving. Not a mechanic unfortunately wish I knew more and going to start learning from all you folks out there. Thank you

As for the white smoke, that suggests a possible head gasket issue (the water jacket is could be leaking into the cylinder). Are you loosing coolant? Does the smoke have a "sweet" odor to it? If the answer to both questions is "yes" then I would lean on the head gasket issue.
