hey welcome....if your gonna switch out the stereo your going to need the interface adapter so you keep all the chimes and other little things that you lose when you change the stereo (its pretty much apart of the electrical system in your car)...and if I can recall correctly it should supply you with your power source and all that....do you have onstar? if not this is the adapter to use http://www.crutchfield.com/S-2emE4XT...n-Adapter.html if you do its this one http://www.crutchfield.com/p_120OSLA...r.html?tp=3486

Actually you can go to ebay and find it for cheap. I got mine there and I have all my chimes etc. http://shop.ebay.com/?_from=R40&_trk...All-Categories I got the one for like $50 shipped

Welcome to the MCF family. Should be a pretty straight forward install, assuming you've done this before. You will need 2 interfaces. 1 for the chimes (and Onstar), and 1 for the steering wheel controls.
