Default Stereo Amplifier

I am trying to locate a 2001 Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS 3.8 rear stereo amplifier for my son"s car. I have read a lot of your threads but they are really not recent. If anyone has an idea where I can find one , please reply

Hey hi, you are a good father. Well you are in luck, as I happen to have one. Pulled from a junk yard 01 Monte probably 10 years ago.

Well since it's so rare, is $6500 to much? I could come down a little...

Ha jk, what is this really worth to you is a question I would like answered. And then this is assuming a couple of things. Like is your existing amplifier definitely the problem? Or could it be another issue? I would not want to sell it, you get it, install it, then say the amp does not work. But the whole time the amp did work but your problem was really something else. I'm no good at testing this so I would have to sell it as is. But then the price would have to be something where you would want to take a chance with it being the solution to the problem. So therein lies the conundrum. The donor Monte was in pretty good condition, had been in a front end collision. I felt if the amp was bad then it would have been removed and a new one installed or even aftermarket. But since it was in and the car was in otherwise decent condition the stereo system was likely operational. So your thoughts? I would want you to consider the shipping may be about $14 if I can get it into the USPS "Medium" flat rate sized box. I will let you know if we are to far apart on numbers and counter otherwise.

There are a couple others here asking for those amps, but I never read their posts till I read and replied to yours yesterday. Yet since I replied to you first, I'm not going to back door you. And again I'm not trying to extort you for a higher price. Make a reasonable offer and it will be yours, if you pass, then I will list it in the For Sale classifieds here or on eBay. No harm no foul, the ball is in your court. If your offer is too high I will tell you so and give you a price that I have in mind. At least you found an amp for sale, so good job, I never even knew they were a problem to find, just had it sitting on a shelf, never gave it a second thought. But if you want to give $6500 for it, I would be down with that, might even use 2 layers of bubble wrap, poly shipping bag and draw a sharpie smiley face on the box, just for you. What? There is always the class clown in every room. LMK, Thanks much.

So $80 with shipping and lets call it good. That is fair enough to me. That will be with USPS Priority mail, flat rate box with tracking.

That sounds good. I will need to get some info from you for payment. It will be a little later though. I will have to get my son to help me out and he is at work.

Sure, no problem. Go to PAYPAL and send $80 to FAST02MONTE@YAHOO.COM. Once you do it should provide me with a PAYPAL verified shipping address to send your amplifier to. It may have a box to check: Gift, etc., check the one that says you are buying an item from me. They will take their cut from the $$, but at least you are protected from me ripping you off and not shipping the product. Well unless someone offers me $6500 for it, even Joe Biden would not turn down that deal... Maybe he would, that is chump change to him. Any more questions lmk. Regards Greg
