It was great meeting you last night. It's always good to talk to people who are as passionate about their cars as you are. And your car is beautiful!

Oh, I thought of another LI cruise spot I think you would really like. It's Oyster Bay on Tuesday nights. It's right in the village and they close off the main streets and let the cars in. The best part is there's usually live music and you can walk around and check out the village. There are some really good restaurants there. You need to get there early because they fill up fast.

Nice! I'll definitely check that one out. It was nice meeting you too! Good luck with that monte too.

Feel free to post any cruise nights in the tread I just started down in the Mid-Atlantic section.

I went to your photo album and found one pic. Is this your wife's Monte Carlo with the 17 inch wheels from a Chevy Equinox???

First step get that dent out of the hood lol but for wheels if you can't get the stock ones then try and find a pair of the 2004 Dale Jr edition Monte Carlo wheels or the 2005 Tony Stewart edition wheels. If you can find a pair of 16's instead of 17's that would be better in my opinion. 17's just look to big on these cars.

Yep, that's the car!

Unfortunately it hasn't been easy. Took it to the shop and found a broken ball joint and bent steering rod. Plus needed new tires all around, but I knew that.

Then Friday night wife calls saying the car overheated. Found the elbow on the front of the motor cracked. Along with the elbow (plastic to aluminum) also changed water pump, thermostat and upper/lower hoses. Expensive but now I don't have to worry about it.

And I like the wheels. I don't think the 17's look bad at all. My only issue with them was the slight discoloration in some spots. Figured out they only need a polish, so that's on the list. Next thing is polishing the body, followed by a photo of my now all Chevy garage!

The wife has been using it for commuting, and loves the car! But she keeps complaining there's too many people in her way.

I have a spare set of new plastic elbows if you want them, if not I'd recommend going to autozone or something and order in some aluminum ones! Give them P/N 47065hp. Probably need to order it but its available!(I've checked!)
