Default rotors and pads

i changed my rotors and pads on my 02 MC SS about 4months ago and they have began squeaking again. they squeak even when im not braking?

has any one else had this problem?
does anyone know a good rotor and pad upgrade?

im looking for drilled and slotted rotors and some dustless pads if possible.

any suggestions

the drilled rotors are not gonna stop the squeeking....squeeking comes from the pads, what kind of pads did you put on? usually squeeking comes when its metalics on there...if its doing it when the car is not braking the caliper isn't pushed all the way back out or something...brakes were not installed properly or the caliper is siezed

Hello, and welcome to the Monte Carlo Forum. Where are you from?
Stay away from the drilled rotors, as critics claim them to be weak. Also less surface ares, I prefer the plated Powerslots, as they stay looking good, and Hawk HPS pads, as they run EXTREMELY clean, and haveEXCELLENT life. I have almost 80,000 on these on my '04. I took them off the '01 when I bought this car. They are only half used up!

Go down to your autopart and get a couple of dollars worth of brake pad lube and reapply to the back of your pads.

I had the squeaking problem on my old car. It was caused by a combination of warped rotors and sticky calipers.
