Rolling out the Welcome Wagon
I have been around the site for a few weeks, but just now decided to introduce myself. My name is Tyler, and im from the central part of Iowa. I have loved the Monte Carlo since I saw my cousin's a few years back. I actually have her car.
It is a Red 2000 LS. I have been saving up money here and there, and now I am looking to improve it. It just turned over 179,000 miles today while going to work. I have had a few mechanical problems here and there with it, but it just will not die. Two winters ago, I spun out going down an icy road, and dropped it into a ditch that was 15ft deep. It didnt even scratch. Then this winter, I was hit by a big gust of wind, hit a patch of black ice, and went across the road and into another ditch, still no scratch. I have, however, been hit by some one backing out, so the back end is a little mushed on the passenger side, and a snow plow had caused a chunk of ice to go through my front grill on the bottom driver side.
I just though I should introduce myself and I am open to all comments, and even constructive criticism. I will be posting more, as I continue to improve my baby.
P.S. this is a FANTASTIC site, and I have been VERY pleased with the people who run, mod, help, and the community members. You all have been a great help and very pleasing.

Hi `Tyler & Welcome to our MCF Family,
and thanks for your introduction post.
We have several member's from your great state.
You have been very lucky in your Monte with the spins
in the ditch that you've had. It just proves that Monte's
are safe vehicles : )
Look forward to your future posts and pic's of your Monte.
EnJoy the forum & we wish you many more safe
miles in your Chevy Monte Carlo.
