Unhappy Rear bumper of 2006 Monte Carlo

Just curious. I have an 06 White fully loaded Monte Carlo with 19,500 miles on it. I bought it in 07 with 40 miles on it and I am the only owner. I gargage the car and i only use GM or Meguiars car wash. I bought some wax at QVC and used that. last week I washed the car and I noticed some tiny dark like spots that looked like rust but the bumper is plastic. What are they. Not a lot of them. I think that I might sell this car as it is a shame not to use it but I am worried about getting it dirty etc. I should not have a new car.

They are just contaminants on the paint. Claybar and some polish will take care of them quick. From what I understand, they are little metal particles from the brakes that stick to the car like dust. When they get wet they rust and leave a little orange spot.

No need to sell what sounds like such a beautiful car for such a silly reason. Enjoy it and Welcome to the Forum!

Clay bar and polish will take that off - it's most likely rail dust or contaminate in the air.

Welcome to the site. If your not sure how to detail the car you could always take it to a shop and have washed and waxed. Then the paint would be protected. A few coats of wax a year should keep it looking great.
