2007 SS How do you take the grill apart or the take off the plastic underneath the radiator?? I want to get behind the front bumper.
Should this question go to the DIY forum?? If not, where is the best place to get some help with this??

 

I don't have an answer, but out of curiosity, why are you taking off the grill and/or bumper of a new car?

 

I beliv eyou have those plastic rivets under there ya have to tak eout.

just pull the center part up and then they should come out easily. and then it should come apart.

you might have a screw or two around the front fenders on the inner fender wells but i dont think there was beliv eit was mostly just snap apart

 

Yes I do not know how to approach the plastic rivets. I did not want to get carried away prying/pulling, so I thought I'd try giving a shout out for help.Sorry to be dense, but I am not picturing what you mean by 'pull the center part up'. Do the rivets have to be manuevered a certain way or do they just come with a tug or a light pry (with a screwdriver?)??


The underneath piece has 3 bolts with much of the rest tied into the bumper and wheel wells with the plastic rivets.

Abovethere is a plastic panel that comes off easily exposing the top of the grill, but it is not obvious to me what then has to come off in which order.

I finally had time to look at it closely and now know what you mean by pulling center part up. Thanks!! I was quite stupid with this case, but I've been burnt before prying on things that appeared pryable but were not.
