I believe that the higher maintenance/breakdowns has more to do with the way people drive them (GTPs and SC'ed Montes) then the SC out and out. I think you would be better off buying one already blown as you will probably want a blower down the road.

But as someone looking into possibly buying one of these.. I like to see that they are still around eve with the better part of 170k on the Odo.

That's true I suppose, but I know I don't want a SC engine. Also, it's the 3.8L, I had a Olds 88 with the 3.8 with 200k+
