Good day everyone..................I am thinking about aftermarket MUFFLERS on my 2006 monte carlo ss. A little more performance would be nice and want a nice deep exhaust tone. I am leaning toward the FLOWMASTER 44s.
Would respect and appreciate anyones opinion.

 

They will sound good, but mufflers wont gain you any performance.

 

I like Borla better & yeah you wont gain much unless u do a full cat back system

 

I know of a few Monte owners with Flowmaster 44's and they really like them. The mufflers alone isn't going to do a whole lot for performance. But that's not really the point anyway. It's all a difference of sound. And what your personal preferrence is.

But personally, I also like the sound of this next 2006 SS. It's forum member BlackAttack. He has Flowmaster 40's with the resonator replaced with a straight pipe.

Either way, it's all your personal preference in sound. I like the sound of both.

For some reason my truck isnt that loud with 44s but I think thats because I got super 44s

 

I like my MagnaFlow cat backs I removed the resinator. The Deuce gets lots of compliments on her mellow but muscular sound.

 

are all these cars v8 or 3800s

 

No there are 3100s, 3400s, 3.4Ls, 3500s and 3900s here as well.
