Thanks for the add, looking for info on our new to us 2003 SS that I use for my daily driver for commuting. The Monte has 130,000 miles and is in good condition. Still working through the new car process of updating maintenance. Things still to do is oil change, tires, struts and a tune-up, and a good detail when the rain stops.

Check your trans fluid to make sure it is RED and not brown, brown needs to be serviced.
When you do the tires also do an all wheel alignment too.

Thanks Guys,
what are you getting for MPG I just had my best tank at 25.3 MPG mostly on I-5 @ 70 MPH, that seems a little low for what I have seen others report. Monte as we call it is stock minis the K&N filter I installed last weekend. I,m driving 400 miles a week so getting better mileage would be a big $$$ help, the car is a great commuter smooth, quite, goes down the road nicely.
Thanks

Hello and Welcome to the MCF!!
25 mpg is not so very terrible IMO. You undoubtedly know all the basics to milk out the highest mpg on a vehicle. Yet somethings as simple as tires designed for max fuel mileage can get you closer to your goal. But spending $600 on new tires to save a few cents at the pump can have a negative effect, especially with todays relatively low fuel prices.
I'm happy to get my average 22 mpg highway and 5 city.
