Ok, I've stalked long enough. Now I own it.
I didn't just join today, but this is my 1st post (stalker 
). This GREAT board has guided me thru several diagnostics and repairs. We bought our 01 SS in April of 2012 with 71K. My sons are grown, so no need for the wife to be driving a minivan, and this was a nice change for her. And yes, MPG was a consideration. I have an fairly extensive automotive background (built my own 9 second 5 speed smallblock Camaro), so I drove her home, and immediately did both intake and v/cover gaskets, w/pump, serviced the trans, etc, etc. On 2/18, I start a new job, so I put the wife in a 2013 Cruze RS, and took the Monte. I hope over the next 6 months to fill a little of my need for speed. Thanks for a great board.

How BA it had to have been to have owned a 9 sec. Camaro.... Wish I could roll that fast sometime in my life. Welcome to the forum, the Monte is actually a pretty nice large size car to be able to get out and enjoy a drive in...
