Newbie from MN
Hey all,
I am the proud owner of a 1986 Monte Carlo LS and I actually have been a member since February but wasn't able to introduce myself for awhile due to a major accident. I have just finally got back up and around to really start working on the car. Enough about the drama though, lol. I put up an album of some of the little work thats been done to her but I bought her ready to go with the 305 swapped with a barely used GM Crate 350, a TH400 tranny instead of the TH200 w/ overdrive, and very clean rust free body from Missouri (a dream to a minnesotan car lover). Right now I am working at the little things but I plan on getting the body finished and painted in February. I just picked up some 2.02/1.60 .291's (camelbacks) to replace the smog heads that are currently on there...Put an Edelbrock performer intake on her, and currently looking to upgrade the carb since the rochester q-jet is on its last leg. Also I was having some issues with the cooling system so I got rid of the 4 blade mechanical set up the previous owners had on there, and got a 6 blade clutch fan set up. Man that made a world of difference. Thank you for letting me be a part of this great forum. I look forward to getting to know all of you and learning more about my car. This is my first real project so I am looking to learn a lot from you all .
