Default Newbie Here

Hello everyone. I discovered this site a few weeks ago and decided to sign up tonight. I am Dustin and I own a 76 Monte Carlo Landau. I've owned my car for 5 years and 3 months now. I acquired the car on June 7, 2000 from my grandfather for a high school graduation present. The car originally came with a 145-horse 350 V8, 2-barrel carb, Turbo 350 transmission, non-posi 2.73 rear end, AM/FM stereo, and A/C. Two years ago I pulled the old motor and replaced it with a 300-horse crate 350 and had the transmission rebuilt w/ a mild shift kit and a TCI Saturday Night Special converter. Last year I installed an aftermarket A/C delete box and pulled out the old A/C compressor. In April I installed Headman headers and had dual exhaust w/ Magnaflow cats and Flowmaster Series 40 mufflers put on. Shortly thereafter I had OEM 3.73s and an Eaton posi installed. My best 1/4 mile ET so far was obtained on 9/3/05 which is a 15.016 @ 90.24 MPH.

My car is still a work in progress. I have several things I want to do, especially paint and body work. My car may not look like it needs it, but there are several rust problem areas that need to be taken care of right away before it starts killing the car. Check out my website if you get a chance.

Glad you made it to the board Dustin, nice to have a familiar face/name around here.

I seen your other post about the Monte running 17's and thought you found the site after seeing my sticker on the back window of my car. LOL

Welcome!

I just recently signed up myself. So far the peole on here have been great. They try to help out with any problems and give good advice. I had a 1978 MC Landau and I loved that car. I put over 130,000 miles on it before I sold it to a good friend for $400. He put another 20,000 on it before he got rid of it.
