Thank you for letting join the group. Glad to be here. I have a 1986 Monte Carlo LS project I bought three years ago that I'm still working on. The car was a two owner car that had never been wrecked with the original drivetrain. I'm now in the process of replacing the factory 305 H.O. motor (yes hard to believe it actually had an HO motor since it was an LS) with a 355 roller cam engine that will still use a computer controlled carburetor and distributor. I plan on using either the "CR" code 200-4r transmission in the car or a "CF" code transmission out of another 1986 Monte Carlo LS I used to have that I've already built and modified for performance street driving. Hope to meet some new people and read about your projects.

Hello and Welcome to the MCF!
Well your Monte is fortunate to have a lot of aftermarket support. There won't be anything you can't do. From your lingo it would seem you are a grease monkey and a few busted knuckles just build character. There are a few G-body Monte owners here. Will be sweet to see where your dreams take you...
