RE: Newb here..... another 5th gen
Here are some more random pictures:
Rear suspension (just about ready to install the rear sway bar):
Fiberglassed center console piece w/ tv- relocated window switches, and pushbutton start. (rice pedals are gone, still unsure what I want to do with the retarded shifter)
Ground clearance shot with the back end laid out:
Shorty:
More misc engine shots:
The new whipple (I still think I'm gonna pull it all apart and send it out for a polish job like my m90)
My rear deck: (only one end cap is on the amp- I had the other side off so I could access the tuning *****)
Still a work in progress inside the trunk- needs a little more wire maintenance, and I still have some carpeting of the sides left to go- I think I'm gonna do a fiberglass amp rack for the 4ch- and I'm probably either gonna polish the amp's case, or spray it the grey metallic like the other amp (they're the same brand, but different model years)
Door panels (the clear handles have blue leds in the ends, and there is a cutout on the bottom with a 20" blue neon tube that matches the car's underbody neons):
and for anyone that cares:
my bone stock 03 impala:
my basic bolt ons 99 gtp:

Very nice work! Nothing looks half-azzed either, which is rare now.
I used to have the rice pedals on my grand am gt. But I put them on because my job requires me to use safety boots and the stock pedals were kinda small and slippery with my boots in winter time. Didn't install them on my Monte.
Love that engine. Looks killer!
For the shifter, how about a leather wrapped one?Color matched to your console.

The worst was probably the wiring- it was a real rats nest. I kept trying to scale it down, but it was just too much. So I recently just pulled all the wiring and started from scratch.
Now I've kinda got into the mindset of making sure the projects I do are perfect, because I used to always regret rushing things.

I dunno, I've got 100,000,000 things I want to do, but just not enough time/funding to get everything done, lol.

Chad, right? Welcome to the Monte Carlo Forum. One word...WOW! NICE JOB! It's good to see something as unique as what you have put together. LOVE your engine, SEVERAL of us here are jealous of how you engine looks. Keep us posted on the progress.
