Well, I am new to the site. I have been on here afew times to look around but, tonight I decided to join up. My name is Eric and I have been an avid Monte nut since around 1990. I have had 4 of them so far. I have had 2 78's and 2 84's, both 84's were SC cars. I have been married for 15 years and with my wife for 18 years (NO KIDS LOL). I have been in the USMC Infantry for 15 years and just returned from Afghanistan about a year ago. I am currently stationed at Quantico.
What I do for fun. Well, when I am not working on my Monte which I am currently doing a frame off restoration I am out fishing on my Triton bass boat. I love that as much as working on cars. My monte has a warmed over 406 with a 350 th. It rides on Weld Draglites. I can't wait till it is done so I can get back to 1/4 mile racing which I am addicted to. Like so many others are. It's not how fast you go it's just about the competetive nature of racing other cars and having a good ole addrenaline rush doing it. Well, that is enough about me, look for ward to talking to you all and having a good time in the process.

Welcome. I love the mid-80's Monte's. Yours looks sweet! Unfortunately, my wife isn't a fan... So we have a newer model.
FYI, I just retired after 22 years active duty with the Army (Signal Corps). There is life after the military. Hooah!

Thanks guys and I should say gal, I look forward to hanging out here with ya. I see thee are kinda more 5th gen models than anything else. i may be wrong haven't been through the whole site yet. But, a Monte is a Monte right!
MC 3831 thanks for the props. I am working on getting it lower on motor before I spray it with the bottle. I build the motor for the bottle.
Thanks Brittany, I always liked the new ones that were black with the silver effects. Yours is real clean and just about the shiniest one I have seen for a while.
