Default welcome........

Welcome to the Forum !
You are a luck young man . That is a nice looking MC.
Take care of it......
Why do most of us have 5-7th gen MC's ? That's a good question
and maybe a good topic for a new poll ? Could be that MC's of your
generation are getting harder to find and people that own these, know
what they have and aren't letting them go ? Smart.
Enjoy your MC.

welcome to the forum, thats an awsome build your working on! are ya gonna get it togeather & run it a lil or wait 'till everything is finished?

and to answer ya about everyone having later model cars on here, my guess is its because they are quite common to find in good shape & reliable enough for daily drivers. beleive me, i think about 99% of the people on here who drive 5th & 6th gen cars wish they had a 3rd or 4th (or 1st ) gen car for a weekend fun car. and EVERYONE on here loves the 4th gen cars! i know i do, i was looking into a few before i got my '97 ls, but all the ones i found were in the same or worse shape than the '97 for alot more $, and i dont need another project, haha. thats what i have my buick for

yeah i agree with Richard (nascar43) and Ryan (skylark65). i had always wanted both the 6th gen, 4th gen, and a 1st gen monte but i ended up with the 6th gen as my daily driver and a 4th gen dirt race car. eventually i would absolutely love to buy a 4th gen i can drive on the road and totally modifiy the hell outta it and make it hella fast and then eventually buy a 1st gen and do the same. but for now i got the 6th gen to have fun with but hey i got plenty of time to get the other 2 =D

Derek welcome to the forum. Myself at your age I was driving a 68' imp ss followed by a 70' nova ss then on to a monza spyder so I had plenty of fun with the V8 RWD's all at 42.9 cents a gal to 83.9 when I left contry in the service. I would like to have a 4th gen as a project car but it's alot of work and God gifted me with daughters who tend to be girlie .... have fun with the 4th and if Dad ask for the keys back it may be cause he simply wants to take her out for a spin.

Thanks for the imput on my car and all the answers to my question, i assumed it was because the 4th gens are harder to find. I know of a bone stock 86 SS for sale in really good condition for about 9 grand... but i'm happy with mine. Right now my plan is to get her running and driving just so i can take her to the drag strip and make a couple runs. (even without posi) haha. I guess I am pretty lucky to have the car and the tools and the shop. sadly my dad passed in 05 so i'm on my own with this one. but i get a little help from my friends here and there.

To answer space kid's questions, my future plans are a new interior, a medium charcole grey metallic paintjob, a vortech supercharger, a 12 bolt posi rear, and drop springs to start. The only trany mod, is a B&M stage 2 shift kit
