Default New Youngster

New guy from the Kansas area, any monte drivers from my state?

My names Courtney Mata (Court for short) I'm 18 and yes I'm a guy!

I'm in the works of picking up a Monte Carlo SS from a local buddy of mine.

Little bit about myself.. Well I was born in raised in Kansas. I've been around the farm most of my life. Been around motors and cars most of my life as well. Dad owns two Chevelle's one is a 69SS with a 454 and he's got a 68 Chevelle with a 383 stroker getting ready. Now it's time for me to find a project and I've found the ss monte carlo.

Thanks BeachBumMike! I've been exploring on here all day and finding some cool ideas for one!
The owner who has her told me she was 83 - 86ish. She was in the process of being built for a midnight drag car that's all the details he has told me about it. So I'm not for sure if its stock or somewhat built. As plans go for it, to take my time with it and build it slowly and have it finished my way. But I'd say Ls swapped 5.3 possibly. Paint I love that red set up on that one you posted above. That's nicely done! If money wasn't such a problem. I'd most defiantly build my car like a buddy of mine had done to his 79' Malibu 2008 LY6 6.0L (Square Port Heads), with an LS3 Camshaft/VVT delete she was turbo charged too

As for driving dads toys, Yes he actually lets me drive his 68. Now the 69 on other hands that ones not in driving conditions its stripped down with no windows or interior. But I enjoy driving the 68. That's where the idea came to mind when we were talking about his 68 one day.
Heres the story on the MCSS on where I found it etc.
