thanks wiz. tinted windows not only add to just about any car's appearance, they are pretty much a necessity here in florida.

 

Uhhh...why can't you? Is tint illegal where you live?

 

certain percentages are illegal where ever you go...well upon descretion of the cop anyway...if they want to be a jerk about it they can give you a hard time...but i think tinted windows are pretty far down on their list ...unless your already a trouble maker...

i think my windows are blacked right out ...limo'd on the back and possibly the front 2 as well..they're very dark...i'm even debating doing a tint bar accross the top of the windshield...
with me being so tall i can't put the visors down...so i'm debating doing a 10-12" tint bar

 

Thanks Space. At some point in the not too distant future I will finish off with some wheels. I'm not overly impressed with the look of thefactory wheels, though they have grown on mea bit. I want fairly simple, 5 spoke wheels, preferrably in chrome but nothing too blingy.
I have not raced anyone yet, but today a guy in a mid 90s Cobra Mustang came up behind me pretty quickly & when the light we were approaching turned red he jumped in the lane next to me. Well he must've thought about & decided not to try me. I left the light usingmoderate accelaration & he never challenged me. I think alot of folks would be surprised/disappointed if they were to give the 06/07 MC SSs a go.
Truthfully having the SS has made giving up the Vette pretty much painless. Thank god I made the decision to switch before the MC was pulled from production. I am not into buying cars used & have not done so since 1991. If I had replaced the Vette with just about anything else I'm sure I would've been bummed for a long time.
Hehehe... yeah I figure the new pics with the tint will push RJ over the edge.
Having the last year MC is a wonderful thing. Having a V8 is just icing on the cake. I don't know how many of my former colleagues over on the Vette side are besides themselves now that Chevy has made the LS3 official for 08. I bet you'll start seeing alot of 05-07 Vettes on Chevy lots. I know I don't have to worry about a similar situation with the MC. At least not for a few years.

Florida is pretty laid back about tint. I'd say 7/10 cars are tinted here. Many of them on the 'darker than legal' side. You can go pretty much 'blackout' here& won't get bothered by the police. The only thing is the tint shops won't give'illegal' their lifetime warranty. I stick with the legal stuff mainly for that reason.
At first I was not going to get the bar across the top of the windshield but in the end decided to. I figure it will help a bunch when the sun is low in the sky. Like an extra pair of sunglasses.It was a little weird having it there at first, but I'm already getting use to it.

Any tinting is illegal on the front two windows here. The back windows can be as dark as you like, but who wants to tint them and leave the front windows untouched? Not me anyway.

People still do it here. And I don't think the initialfine is that bad either, but I've also heard once they ticket you that you have to take the tint off or risk a BIG fine. $200 - 300 for tinting + $50 fine + removing tinting = a risk that I'm probably not going to take. Probably best though. I can use that money on a performance mod instead. [sm=burnout.gif]
