New to site
Hey everybody! New to the site. I don't have a Monte Carlo but I've always liked the 1980's Chevrolets. I currently have a 1982 El Camino, but I'd like to add a mid 80's Monte Carlo so I can tote the family around in style! Is there any problems with that generation I should look for? I posted a short question the other night about a color combo on an '88 around the corner from me. The guy wants too much for it because he thinks the combo of a white car with tan interior is uncommon. Anyone know if he's right? Any help would be appreciated. Look forward to talking to everyone.

RE: New to site
Welcome! I too love the 80's Montes (especially the SS's) We had an 86 burgundy SS with burgundy interior. I've seen white ones with blue interiors. I don't think I've ever seen any with tan interiors.

Welcome to MCF. I saw a Monte last year that was turned into an El Camino. It was one of the weirdest things I've seen but looked cool in my opinion. He chopped out the backend, removed the seats, and resheetmetaled it. It was a great show of craftsmanship.
