Default New "old kid" on the Block

Hello Everybody,

For today, I guess I'm the newbie. As a senior citizen , I've been in love with Chevrolet's ever since 1955 when I bought my first Bel Air. I had a '72 Monte with a 400 4bbl small block that almost drove be into bankruptcy with its tremendous gas mileage. I am currently looking at a one-owner 2003 Jeff Gordon Signature Edition with 6000 actual miles. It is loaded with equipment and in absolutely flawless (lady owned) condition. Sooooooo, my question to all you experts is - what is it really worth. KBB says it's worth $10,565, but the seller is asking quite a bit more. Thanks for your input(s)!

Welcome to the forum. From the info you gave I did some snooping around and found that the car would be worth around $8400. I usually don't like putting a price on other people stuff, but the lady is asking for a bit more than I would pay.

Welcome to our Monte Carlo Family.
WoW only 6K miles ?
Are you considering buying as a everyday driver ?
or
To only drive on clear/sunny days
I really like the Jeff Gordon Editions, & especially one
owner low miled ones : )
How long has it been on the market ?
Does she have all the books/service records etc ?
If you love it & want it ? I would make a offer that
you can afford for a Monte that you really want...
Let us know what you decide.
Good Luck
4-Sure

Thanks much folks. The general consensus seems to be that the price is too high. It IS a really nice car, and it would be my daily driver, but I think I'll bide my time a bit and see what happens. Perhaps the price will come down. It's only be for sale for a very short while. "Preciate your opinions!

Heyy! Welcome to the forum!

hmm i mean i wanna say that 10K is too much but i paid almost 9K more for mine for one with 18K miles on it and it isn't a nascar edition or pace car edition monte, just supercharged, so i'm kinda being a hypocrite lol. it really comes down to whether YOU think the car is worth that much or not.

I tend to agree. If you're a HUGE J.G. fan, well then, maybe. Even with low mileage, it's still how old? Non-supercharged?
Check e-bay for both what's available and completed auctions. Then check cars.com for what's there.
IF it's in showroom condition. No scratches, no nicks or door dings, interior perfect, then MAYBE it's worth it.
Check with a bank and see what they say about financing it, loan value, etc. Even if you pay cash, check it out.

Give her your card, and tell her when it doesn't sell at her asking price, here is your price, give me a call when it gets there and walk away.
