new from northern michigan
First things first. I am excited to be here looks to be a really nice bunch of monte owners. I have had my 84 for 11 years. She is not the first one but will probley be my last one. Anyway the reason I found this forum I am looking for somebody that wants to possibly take on a new project. My best friend passed away suddenly this past week and has a 70 monte that is totally tore down body off frame. I am quite sure that it is all there except the soft stuff like weatherstriping and seals. I have no room for it and I hate to scrap it. I am starting this weekend to clean out the garage and will make a list of what's there and what's missing. I know there is some new stuff he brought for it new still in boxes. It's clean as far as rust goes just one back quarter panel somebody booger welded on. Looking to get something out of it to help off set some of the bills maybe a grand or 15 hundred depending what is there for new parts. It is located in southeast michigan I will take pics hopefully this weekend and email to those who express intrest.

Sorry to hear of your friends passing. Where in Northern Michigan are you?

Welcome and, like David mentioned, yes I am trying to start a Michigan based Monte Carlo Club and we are holding one last Meet for the year, in Ann Arbor, if you're interested. David posted the link to the Meet info.
Lots of Michigan members; I'm in Ann Arbor.

thanks
Thanks for the warm welcome. I would love to come to the meet and greet but I need to get my friends affairs in order before it starts snowing. Next spring I will be there with bells on. I don't think I can post attachments yet for pics of my monte but if anybody that's been out on Woodward for the cruise it's the bright orange 84 with a stick.

We'll let you know the date for the spring Meet when that is set. We've had four Meets now and we have yet to have a member attend with a 4th Gen or earlier Monte Carlo so it would be nice to have you there!
I've been to Woodward with mine the past four or five years (at least) and I can't say I ever remember seeing your car. Granted Woodward is a large area to cover, and gets congested quick, so it's easy to miss a lot. Nice looking car though, the orange is nice and a unique look.
