hello fellow monte owners! its been a long time coming but i've finally registered at the forums. i've owned my baby for about a year and a half now and i've never been happier. alas recently i've been having trouble, i've been throwing codes lately left and right. i've got 160,000 miles on her and so far i have the codes P0420 which is either a cat. code or the o2 sensor in bank #1, P0463 which is the fuel level circuit, and P0189 which is the oil pressure circuit. now the main problem is i have no clue where any of this is located. theres many more problems ( out of round tires, starter, and the listed problems above). I love this car dearly and need to get this handled, so i need some help locating and fixing these problems. if u guys can give me a hand asap that would be great!

she's an 01 ls with a 3.4 160,000 miles. before me the monte was a loaner car for a local body shop (the reason for the high mileage). the only real mods i have is a fwi, "z28" stripes, and an impala sloiler that i rigged to the trunk. i still need to post photos but i'm more interested in fixing my baby

thanks for all the warm welcomes. got a little bit of an update on my situation, got a closer look under the car and more importantly the cat. looks like a blew the gasket before the cat. now what im thinking and stop me if this is crazy talk but, i blow the gasket alowing more air in/ out screwing up the o2 and not having the proper fuel to air ratio. anyway thats my theory. by the way the way the impala spoiler works is i picked up a crappy one from the bone yard, built up the points where the spoiler attaches to the trunk, ground it down to the exact curve of the trunck, glued weather striping under the spoiler, drilled then tapped in the spoiler, drilled holes into the trunk (i was really nervous), painted, then attached. i'll post pictures as soon as i figure this whole posting pictures deal :P

im from janesville, thumpings from appleton (if you can even call that a city) =p and gothkid is from fort atkinson, i cant remember who else there is...

and for pictures i would try out image shack, i think you can upload pictures that way without being here for 10 days, or upload them there and just post the link and im sure someone here will post the pics for ya
