Hi guys,

I'm on several other forums and now have decided to join this one. I have always liked Monte Carols and now some Monte is living in my Impala.

I'm here to learn a few things about the steering wheel and hopefully give back on some of the subjects that I know.

I currently have:

2000 Grand Am GT1
2002 Grand Prix GT
2004 Grand Prix GT1
2005 Impala Base

So I am changing my 2005 Impala's interior theme and as part of that, I took a 6 gauge cluster from a MC as well as the steering wheel. I'll post some pictures as well when I complete the project. If anyone has repaired a steering wheel (2000-2005) where the black foam was damaged please link me there otherwise I'll just search it and resurrect and old thread. Thanks.

I'll give back on technical questions pertaining to the various engines/transmissions in the MC 3800/3400s IDK if the MC ever had the 3100 and any other questions relating to trouble shooting.

Thank you guys for the welcome! I'll post some pics as soon as I get the steering wheel installed. I grabbed a cluster some time ago with tach from a MC and made it a blue/white theme. IDk if I will do that to the 6 gauge cluster I got (from a MC with oil/volts not boost)

Here's a pic of that:

I did something similar on my GA when I wanted another project:

Size: 57.6 KB

Side note - the GA cluster looks off because this is a picture without the assembly that goes in front of the cluster. Also, the GA has LED strips and the "Impala" cluster looks dimer in the photo since it is still the standard bulbs (and old at that). However, it looks fine in person and is easily seen.

I post them - maybe it will inspire someone,

Cheers
