Hi All,
I'm a soon to be new Monte Carlo SS owner.I've been lurking here for a few weeks to get some information to help with my search, and am already hooked because of that. I found my perfect car last night, its a 2003 SS with 35,000 miles, black with silver high sport ground effects, and pretty much every option. It's in perfect shape, inside and out. The previous owner installed a custom grill, it looks like an SLP one, but the bowtie is on the front of the hood, not in the grill. It is also decaled with the full 2002 Dale Earnhardt Intimidator package. I actually thought it was an '02 because of this untill I saw that the interior was not correct (tan leather, and no badging or embroideed headrests. etc). I'm not sure if I will remove the decals, it seems they have been on the car for a while and I'm afraid of damaging the paint if I strip them off.I'll post pictures when I pick the car up (Monday evening).

Welcome to the site!
Leave the badges on it and call it a very limited edition (number 1 of 1) 2003 Dale Earnhardt Intimidator tan leather edition Monte Carlo.

Hey Taz, I actually had used that line on the dealer! In fairness to them, the salesman pointed out all the features on the outside, and mentioned the inside features. When he went to show me the dash plaque and headrests he was confused that they were not there. I called the next day to finalize the sale and they offered to take the decals off, but were afraid that there would be fading or scratching because of it, so I said leave them on and it will just be a very limited edition.
I have to say, it really does look perfect from the outside.

Hi `John, & Welcome to the Monte Carlo Family.
I agree with our MCF Mod `Taz, and that you will have a
very rare limited edition : ) One of One : )
Did you do, or get a CarFax Report on the car ?
It's a great investment. The dealer should get one, `if
they haven't already.
35K is low miles : ) Sounds like a SuperSuper Monte : )
Really looking forward to seeing your pic's, and future posts.
Good Luck, `Space

Hi SpaceRider,
Yep, I checked Carfax as soon as I decided this was the one. It came back clean with no issues at all. The dealer also printed out the original invoice to confirm that it was NOT a special edition, they have been very upfront about it all along.
