New member illinois
hey everyone
i have a 1988 monte ss. I bought the car in 1999 with 16k miles on it. In 2011 it currently has 20k miles on it. Very clean and original car. Still has the factory tires, hoses and belts. I decided to do some changes and make this thing fun to drive. I have a new ls3 crate engine, a built 200-4r, moser 12 bolt and various other pieces. I'm getting close to putting the new stuff in, but i have a few wrinkles to iron out before i get going. If i can figure out how to post pictures i will attempt to show you some of what is going on. I'm an old dude and am not very computer savvy. That is one reason i elected to go with the ls3 carbed crate engine. Kind of old school. That and i thought 515 hp out of the box sounded good. I may be looking for advise on some electrical issues before i get this thing running.

Welcome! What part of Illinois are you in? We have a few members here in the St. Louis area, and we've formed the Gateway Monte Carlo Club. Let us know if you want updates on joining, car shows and cruises to attend, etc. Post pictures when you can - '88 is a great Monte year!
