Default New Member here looking for a little help :)

Hello from Arizona.

I have a 1974 Chevy Monte Carlo, 350 small block chevy. Currently its blue but as I work on it I'm sure it will change to primer grey lol. I inherited this car from my uncle that passed away a few years ago, and I've just started restoring it.

I joined the forum because i could use some help with some suggestions on how to find parts for it, as its been very tough looking in my area for a few things (I just found a hood hinge after looking since May lol) and maybe some customization ideas. Plus making some online friends with some mechanical knowledge could really benefit me.

Anyway, thanks for your time, i look forward to your opinions, suggestions, and comments.

Greetings!

One place you could try for parts is Dixie:

Dixie Monte Carlo Depot

Another is The Parts Place:

http://www.thepartsplaceinc.com/ocat...&YearList=1974

Original Parts Group also offers a variety of parts for older vehicles:

Chevelle Parts, El Camino Parts | OPGI.com

There are others places to check out also like Year One and Classic Industries. Quite a few places sell reproduction parts made by OER. You can d/l one of their catalogs here:

OER - Original Equipment Reproduction

Post up some pics of your '74 when you get a chance.

Thanks for the input, yeah this 2nd gen is in reasonable condition, really its just the little things... today i found a hood hinge after looking for 4 months! very excited about it.

Mainly now its interior, tuning up the carburetor and replacing parts that are missing, and fixing up the suspension. i'm looking more to restore it, with a few added perks if I can come across them.

I'm definitely going to check out those places and sites for parts. Will post pics as soon as i can. and thanks everyone for helping me feel at ease
