new member here
I am 37 years old and live in massachusetts. I've always liked the older Monte Carlos from 70s and early 80s. I came across a good deal on an 84 ss. I bought it off the original owner about 4yrs ago. The guy bought it out the showroom in 84 and had only put 45k on it since he bought it. I ended up buying a jegs crate 350 and had it put in. I also had a 700r4 tranny put in and new exhaust and headers. paint color is white, interior blue. Everything is original other than engine work that i had done. I work as a lineman for the electric company. I know very little about mechanics. I have decided that I am tired of paying someone else to do the work on my car. I have always wanted to learn more about engine work but have never gone through with it I figured now is as good a time as any to start looking into it. I figured a good place to start would be this forum to do a little bit of reading and get my feet wet and hopefully learn from the vast amount of knowledge that I'm sure is on here. I am mechanically inclined and good with tools just not knowledgeable in the automotive department. thanks in advance. I will look into getting some pictures loaded later.
