Me and my fiance found and bought this 2006 monte carlo lt with the 3.9 3 months ago and finally this past weekend went to work on it. It has a clean title which is awesome and now it looks awesome. By proffesion I am a Collision Shop Assistant Manager and my fiance is a EMT/FireFighter. We got a great price on the car and couldnt pass it up I have always been a dodge boy and she was driving a mercury. I work at a Chevy dealership and one day a local towing company brought in a monte that was smashed front to back down the drivers side one wheel was scuffed badly and front cover was destroyed as was the rear. I bought it outright for short money and I got a new front cover and headlight two new tires on the front and a new rim. Also replace the front reinforcement and the absorber/headlight bumper mount panel. I lost my photos from before i tore it down unfortunately but in three days we did the repairs (6200 dollar estimate from the shop) we love the car and after an alignment and oil change this thing is up and running the car is quick and a blast to drive anywho thats us just wanted to say hi from NH will get some photos up soon btw my name is george and my fiances name is sandi check out this link for the photos i will get some better outside shots this week after its all cleaned up thank you for looking enjoy http://s773.photobucket.com/albums/yy19/mopowr/

Welcome. You are very lucky to get a Monte with the 3.9. They are very rare, they were only made for one year!

Congrats on the purchase and try to get us some pictures

Welcome to the MCF family! Glad you found a rare Monte, and got it back to shape for a good price. Keeping that title clean was BIG! Any plans for the future with it???

Default thank you

I am from nh secoast area. I have lots of plans for this monte want to start with a cold air intake and a cat back. Looking into the vector pcm but probably just gonna go with efi live twice the money but way more versitle. I been reading about the intake air temp sensor mod they have a new sensor that reads faster anyone use on of them? There like 100 dollars. I booted it pretty hard yesterday it started roasting the tires then just stopped then launched again and thats with traction control off. Must be some torque limiting or something like that so far thought im loveing it
