My name is Al. I'm 62 years old. I own a 1974 Monte Carlo 'S', which I purchased new on November 10, 1973. I was born in Baltimore MD and so was my Monte, assembled at the GM plant on Broening Highway in Baltimore. I've been driving this car for over forty years, but not without some problems. I'll get to the problems in future posts. BYE.

I ordered my Monte in August 1973. One of the things I ordered was the 350 with a 4 barrel carb. When I got the car it had a 350 with a 2 barrel carb. For 1974 GM dropped the 350-4v for the 400-2v, except in California. I was somewhat disappointed.
