What's up guys,

I'm fairly new to this site but I recently got a 1980 Turbo that was sitting for about ten years. I want to know what all you guys did to improve performance. I been to most buick sites (like beforetheblack.com where I found this car) and they all are useful but any other tricks or secretes would be appreciated. My car is light blue (my favorite color but needs paint), landau top with dark blue vinyl interior (bucket seats with floor shifter). The interior is a 9.5/10 and the car is complete but needs some mechanical love. I'm not the greatest with a wrench but thanks to Google, I can find my way around but any tricks you can share would help. I will try and post some pics later. Thanks

A lot would depend on how far you want to go with your car?

Suspension upgrades are always nice and if a car has been sitting for 10 years wouldn't be a bad idea to start there.

Engine mods are good but can be costly, you could look into a bigger turbo? bore the pistons, plane the heads, new intake and carb, headers, dual exhaust with a crossover to increase pressure, plugs wires, cam the list goes on and on so best to sit down and figure out what you want to do with the car and then build a design plan from there, for example if you want it to be a daily driver you want to seriously consider dependability so extreme modding can play a factor as it can reduce reliability, and getting engine internal work done can get costly rather quickly unless you can do work yourself or have a buddy with a garage.

Post some pics of your car when you get a chance

Extra nice, what a wonderful project to have come across. Will be interesting to see where you take it, restore to factory spec or build the hell out of it and make a monster... And WELCOME to the forum Pete
