Hi everyone. Glad to be a member of the monte carlo forum. I have a 2000 monte. I keep stalling when I come to a stop and I found water on the rear passenger floorboard. Could that be the heater core? Just not sure how the water would end up there instead of front floorboard. Can anyone help please?

Hi there and welcome to the forum
Yes, water in the back floor board could very possibly be a bad heater core. If that heater core is leaking, the water can run down between the firewall and the carpet and settle in the back floor pan.

Hey kretos...Welcome

It is unusual to have water in the rear floorboard. Sounds like your familiar with the Cabin Air Filter and/or door drain problems. Any chance you park on a hill with the front of the car higher allowing water to drain under the carpet from front to back? Sunroof leak?
