Question New Member

Hello to the Monte Carlo Enthusiat Community. I was told to check out this site by a few guys where I work. I'm a chick that likes cars and yes Monte Carlos are right up top! Sad to say that I haven't bothered fixin up my 1976 Monte Carlo since it was stripped back in late 80's. Yea sick to my stomach at the time an still dishearting. I Want to know, what would be the logical/practical approach to selling it? Like is, All parts for a price or piece out? I mean what is the likely hood that some one would want the car as a almost whole. Isn't it more likely persons would have their car an just get parts to replace those gone bad/needed.
That's why I'm asking.I'm torn and just not sure. I would like to see it be owned by someone to restore...instead of parting it out. Help need feed back from persons that know what its like to love these cars! Any an all feedback. Thank U in advance.

I think you should sell it whole.
because if you part it out to may take along time..

Welcome. I'd have to agree parting out a car could take a very very long time. If it is important to you that it be restored that's really cool.

Welcome to the forum,

I have to agree with the others on selling it whole, you will probably get more parting it out, but eventually you will also be left with the pieces that nobody wants and may have to pay to get rid of them

Welcome to the MCF! Good luck with whatever approach you take to selling the vehicle.

Hi KC1975 aka (chick) lol
Since we don't know your real name..
Welcome to the forum.

First off ...I'm sorry to hear about your Monte being stripped.
R you sure you really want to part with it? Sounds like you have had it a very longtime.
Your friends were right, MONTECARLOFORUM.COM is truly the best place for you to come for information. As well as help.
Not knowing what area of the country your from it would help to know.
What you have is a Great Year for a MonteCarlo.
Thus making it and or parts very valuable to someone looking to restore or rebuild one. I'm not sure how quickly you care to not have it in your possession any more. But, Here's my thoughts and advise.

I would probably post it on craigslist for openers for parts and or for a complete sale peice.
I would also put it on eBay as well. Not knowing the condition overall and no pictures to look at, I would recommend posting pictures with your ads. They would certainly help to get quick responses.
I would hope,
Knowing your love for your MonteCarlo that you wouldn't sell it for short fast money.. If it's in good shape body and drive line it's worth lots of cash value.
I wish you the best of luck with your sale.
Thanks for relying on the MCF family to help you out.
Hoping this helps..
Good Luck !!!
Maybe..
You will change your mind and breed life back into it.
