New to the site and just stopping in to say hello. My Monte is an 86 fully loaded. Came with a 305 w/ 700R4, 10 bolt. It now has a 350, World S/R torquers, long tubes, TH350 and 12bolt posi. This car and motor/trans has an interesting story of how it came to me. A buddy purchased this car with all the OE powertrain in it. After blowing the factory overdrive trans, he decided he wanted to drop in a 350/350 combo. I had a 350/350 combo for sale so he snatched it up and slammed it in. Next went the factory 10 bolt. He found a posi 12 bolt and slapped that in. Some air shocks, and a SS front clip and deck lid came next and he lost his license. I had an old 77 blazer sitting around that I used to take out in the woods every now and then. Fairly rusted away but started up fine and ran. He came to me one day wanting to buy the blazer, I gave him a price and he offered me the Monte straight up trade. I took him up on it and that leads me to where I am today. Alot of work needs done to it, interior cleaned out, motor compartment gone through. I wanna remove the AC and heat box and close that hole up. Remove all the factory wiring that he hacked up. He installed an electric fan but left the wires just chillin around the engine compartment, huge pet peve. So I just got alot of cleaning up to do from sloppy work. The headers need resealed, starter is brand new and and needs replaced, and trans needs rebuilt. Nothing some time and money cant fix
