i have a 84 MC and i did research and i thought only ss had the floor shifter...my body is of a regualr monte carlo but inside looks like this

hey everyone im new so im trying to find the right place to place this question do 84 year have some monte carlos with floor shifters thats not an ss...because i just bought this car a few days ago and this how it looked..

 

hey im new ....nice too meet you all im learning alot in just one day

anyway i have a 84 MC 305 and i think the trans is just a regular 200

kind of weird though because its has a regular shifter in the floor...

my question is..im getting the trans rebuilt...will turning to a 350 trans be a good choice behind that goodwrench 305... heres a pic of the shifter also
