Been on the site plenty of time finally decided to join. Im in the process of looking for a Monte Carlo for myself preferably 00-05

I have my eyes on this 03 for 5000 but it has 169K miles on it, only thing is i need a reliable car and the 169K is kind of scaring me off, looking to some members on what they think about it

Hi Kadero, & Welcome to the Monte Carlo Family.
Beautiful pictures of the Monte Carlo that you are interested in....Does the dealer have a CarFax Report or Auto Check
Report on this vehicle...
How many owners ? Is there service records ?
It does pay to do your homework before you buy...
Explore the MCF & you will find that many member's have
Monte's with similar miles, and have not had any major
problems....I would suggest that you have a certified mechanic
check out any car that you are interested in purchasing.
Check back to see what are other expert member's
post/suggest.
Below are a few links you may want to check out

Welcome to the site. It looks like it's in good condition. It is a good idea to get a carfax, that will also show you how many owners it had.

That seems about right on price for a monte of that year w/169,000. May be at the point when every little thing is going to need replacing. If you don't mind working on it a little bit to keep it right go for it. If not keep looking. That one does look pretty hot tho.

The 3800 is a great motor. I wouldn't worry too much about the miles, just be sure to give everything a thorough run down before signing and don't be afraid to take it for a test drive and gun it a few times.
