Welcome I agree with 77gp on the tail lights and if you change the seats save the originals if possible in case you ever want to change it back.

I bought the Monte Carlo and she needs some restoration being that it's from Buffalo it has some rust on it, but it runs and drives smoothly. I'll post pictures as soon as I can ;D

Welcome to the forum. 77's in decent shape are rare. 77's in general are a rare find now. Congrats.

That would be a 2nd gen, Chris.

Thanks for the welcoming guys this is an amazing forum, a lot of insight was given to me in the other thread that I started and I really see myself staying here for a very long time. I do have a question regarding the VIN number. There was a post somewhere that actually broke down what the VIN number means and when I read it, and compared mines to it I supposedly had a 400ci motor in it. When I went to Pepboys and bought parts for it to do it's maintenance and said it had a 400ci in it, the parts guy looked at me as if I was stupid. lol I was wondering if it was possible to confirm the numbering of the VIN number I'd really like to know if I have a 350 or 400 in it, it's eating me alive and killing my bragging rights to my buddies here in Rochester. lol
