Hello all, my name is John, I'm 50 and do most of my own automotive work. I'm pretty handy and do most everything around the house too.

I bought this '04 with 148k on it for my son to drive to school / work. It was a daily driver for my daughter's friend for about 2+ years or so.

They replaced parts as needed, kept up with oil changes but didnt really maintain it properly. So I'll be changing out the dirty trans fluid, brake fluid and coolant, etc.

The check engine light is on for P0401 and P0405. I had the EGR valve off trying to clear the passage way, as well as from the top at a vacuum fitting for the PCV valve, but so far no dice.

I like the car, but I'm a Jeep guy.
