I recently bought an 83 monte carlo and I'm having problems with it staying on.I got a tune up and new radiator and when I drive for awhile it cuts off but will turn right back on but I have to keep my foot on the pedal to keep it from shutting off again.somebody tell me what's causing this please

Please post more information about your Monte Carlo.
What engine ? How many miles on it ? Any modifications ?
How old is the fuel pump ? What carb do you have ? Is your ignition stock ?
