Default New kidSS on the block

Newbie here. We own a red 06 SS and a black 04 SS. Question(s) regarding the 06. We live in upstate NY and unfortunately I have to drive the car in the winter slop. I need to purchase some snow tires but am interested in purchasing rims to mount the snows on. Apparently 18" cheapo steel wheels are not available for the Monte (?). Hate to have to spend a ton on two rims just to mount snows...any ideas?
Also looking for shock/strut upgrade info to improve handling.
Thanks in advance!!!

Welcome to the site! Have you tried tirerack.com. It probably is possible to select 17 inch rims to mount your snow tires on.

Thanks. I looked at tirerack earlier but only for 18's. 17's will work and they are $99 each...they want to gig me for tire pressure sensors...I don't believe it's necessary except for the fact I will not know the tire pressure without manually checking it.

Welcome to the site. I'm going thru the same thing. I'm headed over to Discount tire in the morning to try & find a set for my 06 SS. If i find anything. I'll get back to you. Some of the prices I've seen on here are NUTS. I'm not paying $ 275 for one Damn tire. Rick
