New to here but not to the Monte
Hello all. I'm on my second Monte Carlo SS and enjoying bringing it back to life. I'm 26 and me and the wife spent our entire first year dating in my dads garage putting this thing back together, oh yeah she's a keeper! Well my first Monte was a 1985 Monte SS I bout from the original owner as my first car. Silver and maroon it was a beauty. Sadly I got hit with the camaro sickness and traded it for a 1989 Iroc. That wore off fast and I always wanted another Monte. Especially since while driving my Iroc one day a black Monte SS came up behind me, man that's an intimidating sight! Well I got rid of the camaro and got my second Monte. Its a 1986 Monte SS, was burgandy on maroon but now black primer on dyed black interior. I'm in the process of a engine swap and t-top seals now but hopefully back on the road soon! I will post pics as I can. My main internet is from my smartphone so I haven't figured out how to post from it so I will post from work.

Welcome to the Forum...you've got my favorite year!! Mid-'80's Monte Carlos are the fiercest looking cars on the road. Is your '86 black exterior with black interior? What kind of mileage do you get? Be sure to post pictures when you can - do you have any of the first Monte (the '85)?
