new here with a 70 Monte SS
but Ive been around muscle cars for the last 20 plus years.
I recently picked up a pretty cool Monte, its a 70 Monte
SS 454. It was originally triple Gold (now faded scarey old
burgandy) Im in Tucson Az, and the cars been parked most of
the last 25 yrs, hardly driven much.
Luckily Az has been good to its sheetmetal and the car is very
rust free.
I bought it a few weeks ago and started getting it somewhat
back road worthy and running to see how much the car really
needed to be a driver again.
So far Ive found one set of #s stamped on the ft block pad.
It decoded to be a early 70 454 LS5 block at least.
I even found a small portion of what looks like whats left of a
build sheet in the back seat corner.
