RE: new here!
Very nice! Welcome to the site. I'm pretty new here too.
I'm guessing that's an '86 or '87 maybe?
Looks like you've done some work to it for racing purposes, unless I'm imagining things again.

WELCOME ... nice MC SS!
I'm bettin' it is not an '87, unless you've changed the rear taillights, since yours do not wrap around to the side of the car.... So, it'd be '83-'86 .

RE: new here!
Hey, Thanks for all the kind words about my Monte. It was purchased new in November of 1985 by my parents. Less than 2 years later it would become my own car. Thats when the bug bit me to start modifying it. It begin life silver in color with the 305 doing its best to satisfy my urge for speed. It was painted BRIGHT red in 1989, and lowered that same year (although we wont talk bout how i lowered it, lol). I have to say I was very tired of looking at Mustang tailights by this time. I ordered a G.M. crate engine in 1991. It was a ZZZcode, 350 cid,345HP/380FT. LBS. That engine with a TH350 trans and 3.73 gears, Mustangs suddenly where of little concern, lol. Thats also was when I begin street racing alot (which you good boys and girls shouldnt do, LOL). In 1996, my friend and fellow MCFer, thefullmonte, and I tore it down and totallyfreshened upeverything on the car. Including the paint, (thanks to thefullmontes incredible painting skillz), interior, etc. Its been garaged kept since 96'. Recently me and thefullmonte, installed a 700R4 with a Vigilante 9.5 inch converter with 4.10 gears. As far as 1/4 mile times I ran it WAAAAY back in 97' and only pulled a best of 13.40 @ 105mph. I have no idea what kind of times it may run now, Its quicker im sure. Im hoping to get into the 12s with some E/T Streets. Hope I aint bored you guys to sleep but just wanted to give ya a little history on the car. Its always evolving, lol, Take for example the G.M. mark of excellance badges on the fenders. All for now. My 2 fingers are tired, LOL.
