Hey all, new to the forum, not to my monte carlo.
Bought my '03 LS 3.4l with only 60K on the odo almost exactly a year ago, has a little under 88K now....have no clue how as I don't drive it much.
Anyways, a few weeks ago I ran into a problem, the tranny would not shift after 4k....or so I thought.
Today I took it to a shop for diagnostic and turns out my cat was done, it was clogged, and my poor car had been weak because of it. The shop replaced the cat and added a flowmaster 40 to the car, OMG, the car is so much faster, I mean no joke literally a 70% increase in power.
Previous owner never maintained the fuel filter and the car was just getting smogged up...poor thing. Well now it breathes great, it is so nice not having to replace the tranny, but even nicer to have a car that accelerates up hills and doesnt take 12 seconds to get to 38 mph, literally I TIMED IT!
ITS A NEW CAR! and im in love again...too bad it's an LS, but it still is fun!
As far as speed goes, I have my 2009 Ninja zx-10r, and I don't need another trouble maker! Basically a 9 sec bike at 158 MPH. Tops out at indicated 189...why the #@$! would I want anything else stupid fast????
