new here
Whats up all, mike here, just registered. Yes Im a little late, as I have my fourth monte now. I started with a black 2000 LS with rims and graphics, moved on to a black 2003 SS with chrome 18's and sick graphics, got totalled and got a 2003 SS jeff gordon edition, and just traded that in for a black 2006 SS with 19" chrome ASA's, Rockford Fosgate Power, K&N full cold air intake, eibach pro suspension, and Magnaflow full catback exhaust. Dont know of anything else out other than a predator programmer. Just lookin for other Monte guys

Welcome to the forum!!!
Nice setup you have. The Hypertech seems to be the other easy programmer, but at the cost most people jump to the DHP or HP Tuners if they really want to get in an tune.
The Predator is a very good programmer too.

Thats one thing Ive never done yet, a programmer. Is it as easy as they say it is to do, and what exactly does it change on the monte? I was hopin the rev limiter, and shift points, air fuel ratio too. I guess most importantly, what are the dangers, if any? Thanks

Welcome, mike, to the Official Unofficial Monte Carlo Forum. We are a dedicated *****-Free Zone here, just a bunch of Monte Carlo-lovin' Chev-heads. Feel free to poke around and participate as much as possible.
I love to see pics of your ride(s), so please upload them soon.
As far as I know, the programmers doo all that you ask. I don't think there's much risk because you are able to reset everything back to default as you wish. I'd like to have a Hypertech programmer. I'll pick one up one of these days.

The Hypertech is very easy to use. EG: Select Shift Point: 5700, 5800, 5900, 6000 RPM, etc. Top Speed Limit Yes or No. Select 1. - Very easy.
DHP: Big tables that need numbers typed in manually so you can increase timing and fuel management. Lots more options.
