Hey Welcome!! You have a nice Monte, stay on top of the maintenance and you will have a nice running car. I always like to have my tranny filter and fluids changed when I get a new used car as most people neglect this and your tranny could be on the verge of crying for help. So if there are no maintenance records your about at the 40,000 mile mark, would not hurt anything at all to pony up the coin and get this done.

Anyway nice to have you here, the members here I have found will bend over backwards to help you out with timely information. WELCOME!!!!!!!!

I found this link for removing cigarette odors. Seems like some baking soda and a saturday afternoon and you may have a better smelling car.

You could try to steam clean it but idk if that helps with the smoke smell or not[/quote]

You could also try cleaning the seats with some sort of spray-on carpet & upholstery cleaner. Good luck! Let us know what you use and if it works.

Cool

Are you anywhere near Sarasota? My brother lived on Siesta Key for 30 years and loved it...the sand there is unbelievable, the beaches are beautiful.

U could always try to find some leather seats
While the seats are out, take the carpet out and clean the hell out if it hehe
Then u could always get ur headliner redone
In a suede or vinyl

That's wat I would do

Thanks for the offer Zippy but my seats are in pretty good condition, ill probly leave them as is. Imma try the febreeze/ air out/ baking soda in the carpets method. between those 3 It should somewhat get better!

I'll be selling my two front leather seats soon for $50 locally if anyone's interested
In pretty good condition, except for a tiny hole in the drivers seat
