Default new here with a ??

Hi my name is Jonathan and I own a 78 monte. Its been in the back yard for a year or so and I'm ready to bring her back out but my problem is she's not holding a charge. The sad thing is I've brought it to mechanics and they all said they fixed it but didn't. I have a big sound system with its own alternator and battery aside the stock one. My question is, is it hard to just re-wire the whole car? I have some free time rite now and I'm willing to give it try but if not does anyone know of someone or a place in new orleans that can help me out. Thanks in advance for any info.

Welcome to the forum. First before answering your question let me ask, are you somewhat capable with wiring, soldering, and electrical in general?

Hi Jonathan, and Welcome to the Monte Carlo Family.
"Nothing Ventured, nothing Gained"
I hope one of our expert member's can help on your
re-wiring question.
I suggest searching out the top audio shops in your area, since
you are running a massive sound system that pulling
a lot of power.
Also, I would search out a book on wiring for your
year/model Monte.
We wish you good luck and look forward to reading
more about your Monte and your Life in New Orleans.
Keep us updated `ok
Peace/Out

welcome to the forum, may sound silly but I believe I would return it to one of the place you originally paid to solve the problem that still haunts you!

I wish I could but all the work was done back in new york. I ordered the original wire diagram for the Monte so I'll see if I can handle it. Thanks again and I'll try to get some more picktures up.
