New guy from ohio
Just got my first car ..yes my first car its a 03 monte carlo ls with 61k on it
Not much wrong with it other than needs new tubbing and some cosmetic fixes.
Looking to maybe install aftermarket stereo but ive been told not to because the factory one has any other controls such as the oil and other car functions so ive been scared out of doing so.
Other than that just looking to fix up the car a little maybe do some rally stripes and add some speakers and sq subwoofers.

welcome to the forum man, killer first car. wish i coulda gotten a 6th gen with that few miles on it, haha post some pics of the car when you get a chance.
as for the factory head unit IDK about them controlling anything other than the radio / CD player, you should be fine if you really wanted to go aftermarket, but personally i would stick with the stock head unit just because its more user friendly. feel free to check out the "how to" section, under the "5th gen" section our moderator MRL390 ( matt) posted a great sterio install with plenty of pics, could give you some ideas on what you wanna do

welcome to the forum.
as far as your aftermarket hu concerns go.......
when you remove your stlye, it causes many problems to occur.
good for you they make a relocation kit. not sure wear you can buy. but its not that much. you can put it in the trunk and be problem free.
where do you live at, im in akron.

I really want to do some touch ups to the outside of the car but im on a very low budget seeing that i have to pay of 3k of the car still :| but other than that i was thinking maybe adding a oem spoiler and maybe some rally stripes (still debating on color, between white black and grey) the car already has some vinyl decal on both sides near the bottom not sure if i should remove them or if they will look fine if i put grey rally stripes
also the car is not in my possession yet i will be picking it up monday and driving it home from Michigan
monday i will be posting better/ updated pictures

Count me in as one of the many who have had numerous issues due to removing the factory deck. Won't make that mistake again that's for sure. Matter of fact, I just finished up relocating my factory deck and installing my new deck today. Wish I had done this the first time around but how else are you gonna learn if you don't make mistakes?
