hi all, I have a 85 m/c 4.3 fi. a little about my car, my sister bought it used in 85 and drove it till her oldest boy turned 16 and gave it to him. at that time I pulled the engine and rebuilt it. it had 126000 miles on it no problem on it she just wanted him to have a good car. trans went out at 149000 that's when I got it. put in used trans and drove it till my girl turned 16 and give it to her. oil pump went out at 220000 miles went thru engine again. she later got a new car and I got the m/c back. rebuilt trans a few years ago car now has 315000 miles on it wife now uses it for a work car. rust is starting to get the best of it now but still runs good. sorry for the long post.

Hey Chevyman, nice all your efforts were rewarded to where you became the FINAL owner of the 85 Monte. Great lineage, no one wrecked it and such, so now it's destined to finish life with you, hopefully at a demolition derby when it's really ready to go, GO out getting to tear into couple Fords and such with a vengeance...
